D1 v D2 v D3 Recruiting Rules

There are many differences between Division 1, 2, and 3 when it comes to when and how you can contact or be contacted by coaches. This post will explain all of these differences so you can gain some clarity during this confusing process
*These dates do not include dead periods or quite periods
· Recruiting Information
--D1
----Sophomore Year- May receive camp brochures and questionnaires at any time
----Junior Year – Can begin receiving all recruiting material starting September 1
----Senior Year- Can receive all recruiting material at any time
--D2
----Sophomore Year- Can only receive camps info and questionnaires
----Junior Year-Can receive all recruiting information from coaches
----Senior Year-Can receive all information from coaches at any time
--D3
----Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Year- Can receive all recruiting material from coaches at any time
· Phone Calls, Texts, Emails
--D1
----Sophomore Year- Athlete can call the coach and talk to them if they pick up. The coaches cannot call the athlete at any time.
----Junior Year- Players can all the coach at any time and talk to them if they pick up. Coaches can call, text, or email players beginning September 1.
----Senior Year- No limits to phone calls on either side
--D2
----Sophomore Year- You can call the coach at any time. They can contact you in any form beginning June 15th
----Junior Year- No restrictions on any form of contact at any time
----Senior Year- No restrictions on any form of contact at any time

----No restrictions on contact at any time
